Sundays in My City, Murphys

Another glimpse into Murphys one of the top ten “coolest small towns in America” (Frommers Budget Travel):  Angels Murphys Rotary Annual Shrimp Feed in Murphys Park. It was a hit with Live Music, Dancing, Raffle, No Host Bar with Milliare and Black Sheep wines, and, of course, Shrimp (plus some wonderful pasta, salad and garlic bread). Plan B provided the music that got everyone up and dancing.

Sharing just a few icky shots from the Blackberry as left the camera home, right by the door.

1. It was packed

2. Tree shaded picnic tables

3. They brought wine glasses, plus their own candelabra and candles! (My neighbor Terry spiffed up our table with wine glasses as well – just not the same from a plastic cup J)

4. Normally gorgeous Jana Millier (leave it to me to get a horrid shot) led us in a few rounds of hangman with her new toy (eraser board on both sides, a marker with an eraser end clips to it)

5. Dancing in the cool night air

Proceeds help benefit the Ebbetts Pass Search & Rescue, Coats for Kids, Scholarships, Murphys Municipal Pool, Ms. Calaveras Pageant, Honoring Local Teachers, Students, Firefighters, Law Enforcement Officers, and the Calaveras Rotary Community Garden Project (whew, this list compliments of their web).

Check out Sundays in my City for a global peek into a few other blogger’s city highlights.
