  1. I love outdoor art! Beautiful stuff.

Thanks – it was truly inspiring. So far, I’ve only done some molds (greenman face) and “craft” things for my garden. This makes me want to try so much more.

What stunning gardens and sculptures. I love the sculpture seat or as my daughter is telling me -the rock holders!

  3. Robyn Engel says:

Such unique and artsy sculptures. I really like it. You captured it so well, I want to visit.
    Cheers,

Well, if you’re ever around SF East Bay – the Bancroft Gardens are a good destination. The Sculpture show is a short lived event, but the gardens are always interesting.

  4. Very interesting.

Some of those pieces I believe I could make – – – but if I did, no one would call it art. Hmmmmmmm, makes me wonder how we decide what is and what isn’t art.

    • Maggie says:

Well, I don’t weld or pour bronze – so most are out of my reach! Hmn, perusing favorite art quotes – maybe I’ll join next week’s Fragmented Fridays and post a few.

Oh this is very, very cool! I love that big jackrabbit thing on the fence!

    • Maggie says:

The fence is part of the sculpture piece, it’s not just that big jack rabbit. It was pretty funny as it was plunked in with the more serious expensive pieces.

  6. What a gorgeous display. I especially like the fireflies and how the light captures the colors. Thanks for sharing, jj

Wow, I’ve never heard of this. Thanks for turning me onto it and taking/uploading all those photos! I’m currently talking to hubby about going next weekend.

    • Maggie says:

Lori – I think you’d enjoy it. You’re so good about creating things, I’m sure you’d get lots of ideas! Be sure to mosey around the private gardens as well, I”ve got some pictures of those coming up.

We’re going next Tuesday! Can’t wait. Hubby and I keep talking about getting out and exploring something new, so I called him on it. LOL So glad I saw this on your blog before it was too late. Thanks again!

Congrats! If you’re coming over the Benicia bridge and are making a day of the trip – do you know Benicia is a glass artist’s sort of meca? http://www.beniciachamber.com/guide/arts.html
You’ll probably come down Ygnacio to get to the gardens – Ygnacio is the far end marker (Target) of Walnut Creek downtown (the real downtown is about 6 blocks in). Lots of fun and different places to stop for a bite to eat.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing with Walkabout.

My favorite of this batch is the spider.

  10. What a fabulous sculpture garden. Thanks so much for sharing it with us! I haven’t found anything like that here in Jacksonville, FL, but I just keep looking 🙂
